Hi all.
Thank you for taking the time to read my work! I gave you the first chapter- whole and in all its gory glory, but am sorry to say that that is the only one I'll give you outright.
I find, if you read a book one chapter per month, you may have too much time to think about it and sometimes we think ourselves crazy or simply lose our ability to enjoy things by making them too complicated. Solution: I will be updating this site regularly with bits and pieces I think represent the coming chapters. Teasers, if you will.
I would love to publish by July. Seeing all this support is a great motivator. It's nice to know that someone might want to read the thing I love so much to write.
I think about this story everyday. The characters are sometimes based off of the people I encounter daily and the places are ones I know intimately. Maine is full of wonderful, unbelievable beings and events. Sometimes I have to stop and wonder at it... the "Really?!?!" moments are so abundant that I fill a notebook more frequently then I fill my trucks gas tank.
Just last night, I was in the company of a fella who lobsters here on the island. At one point he looked over to my friend and coolly stated "My eyebrows have seen more salt then your coat ever will."
This is Maine- Welcome.
Best,
Lizzie M.
